Booking a Point Cook taxi: what to know

Point Cook has one road in and out for most of the suburb, and the Princes Freeway on-ramps back up hard in the morning. For a flight, book the pickup at least 30 minutes earlier than a map app suggests — the delay is at the start of the trip, not on the freeway.

Tullamarine is reached via the Western Ring Road rather than the West Gate, which is why the fare and the timing are more predictable than the CBD run despite the longer distance. Avalon is a genuine alternative if your flight departs from there.

The newer estates — Featherbrook, Saltwater Coast, Alamanda — have streets that map poorly. Give the driver a street number rather than an estate name and you'll avoid a phone call at 4am.

MPTP-subsidised fares are accepted and wheelchair accessible vehicles can be booked on request by phone so dispatch can confirm availability.
