Local pickups

Estate pickups across Point Cook.

Point Cook is almost entirely newer estates with long looping streets and very little passing cab traffic, so a booked pickup is the only reliable way to get a taxi here. Give us the street number โ€” Sanctuary Lakes, Featherbrook, Saltwater Coast and Alamanda all have streets with similar names, and a house number saves the driver circling.

Point Cook to Melbourne Airport: what to know

For a morning departure, the West Gate is the thing to plan around โ€” but this route avoids it. Drivers head north on Palmers Road to the Western Ring Road rather than through the city, so the trip holds up far better in weekday peak than a CBD run does. Even so, book a car for at least three hours before an international departure and two before a domestic one.

There is no train from Point Cook. The nearest station is Williams Landing, and getting to the airport by public transport means a bus or drive to the station, a train to the city and then SkyBus โ€” typically 90 minutes or more with luggage. A direct cab is usually faster and simpler for a family.

Add your flight number to the booking for arrivals. We watch the landing time, so an early or delayed flight is handled without you calling to rebook, and the driver is already in the terminal precinct when you clear the baggage hall.

Metered fares follow the Victorian time-and-distance tariff, which changes between the day, overnight and peak periods โ€” a 4am airport run is charged differently from a 10am one. Run your real pickup time through the fare calculator on this page, or lock in a fixed price when you book so a late landing doesn't change the total.
