Sunshine to Melbourne Airport: what to know
The usual route runs Western Ring Road to the Tullamarine Freeway airport exit and carries no toll, so the fare is essentially distance and time with no extras beyond the booking fee and airport access fee on departures from the rank. If a driver takes CityLink because of an incident, the toll is itemised on your receipt.
Because it is a short run, the tariff period matters more than the distance. A 4am pickup is charged at the overnight rate and a Friday 11pm pickup at the peak rate, so the same 15 km can differ by a noticeable amount. Put your real pickup time into the calculator on this page.
Sunshine Hospital is on Furlong Road in St Albans, not in Sunshine. Give the entrance — main, emergency or maternity — when you book so the driver waits at the right door rather than circling the campus.
