Booking a Frankston taxi: what to know
The airport run from Frankston is the trip people most often underestimate. It's 63 km through EastLink and the Ring Road, and in weekday morning peak that can stretch past 80 minutes. Book the night before for any flight departing before 10am, and add tolls to your budget.
Frankston Station is the transfer point for the whole Peninsula, and the rank empties within minutes of the last train arriving. If you're connecting from a late service, book your cab while you're still on the train.
Frankston Hospital trips are a large share of our local work. MPTP-subsidised fares are accepted and wheelchair accessible vehicles can be arranged — call ahead so dispatch can confirm the vehicle for your appointment time.
Down-Peninsula runs to Rosebud, Sorrento and Portsea are long trips that are worth booking as a fixed price, particularly in summer when Point Nepean Road crawls.
