Airport transfers from the south-east
These are among the longest metro airport runs — Dandenong is 55–70 minutes to Tullamarine, Berwick and Pakenham longer again, and bayside suburbs like Brighton around 35–45 minutes.
Take the fixed price. It includes CityLink tolls and absorbs Monash Freeway delays, which on this corridor are the norm rather than the exception. Book the night before for anything departing before 7am.
The Monash factor
The Monash Freeway inbound from 6.30am and outbound from 3.30pm is the defining constraint on south-eastern travel times. A metered fare on that corridor in peak can be materially higher than the same trip at 10am.
If your trip crosses those windows, a fixed price is almost always the cheaper and calmer choice.
Hospitals, universities and shopping
Monash Medical Centre at Clayton, Dandenong Hospital, Frankston Hospital, Casey Hospital at Berwick, Monash University Clayton, Chadstone, Southland and Fountain Gate are the regular destinations across this region.
Wait-and-return is available for short appointments, and MPTP cards are accepted for eligible passengers.
Bayside and beach trips
Summer weekends bring steady demand along the bay — Brighton Beach, Sandringham, Mordialloc and Frankston foreshore. Pre-booking a return is worth it on hot days when everyone leaves at once.
Late-night pickups from Chapel Street and St Kilda are priced on the published night tariff rather than a surge multiplier.
