What makes a booking premium
Premium requests are allocated to newer, larger sedans with more boot space and a driver who has been briefed on the job before pickup. You get the driver's name and vehicle details in advance rather than watching a map and hoping.
The car arrives early rather than on the minute, the driver assists with luggage, and the interior is checked between jobs. It is the same regulated Victorian taxi service, allocated with more care.
When people book premium
Airport departures where a missed flight costs far more than the fare, client and executive pickups from hotels and offices, and formal events where a rideshare turning up in an unwashed hatchback is not acceptable.
Also common for elderly parents and unaccompanied family members travelling alone, where a known driver, a phone number and a confirmed pickup are worth more than the cheapest quote.
Pricing
Premium bookings are quoted as a fixed price before you confirm, using the same Victorian tariff structure as a metered trip as the baseline. There is no surge multiplier at 5am, on wet Friday evenings or during major events — the price you accept is the price you pay.
Tolls are included in the quoted figure on airport and CityLink routes so there is nothing added at the end. Card, EFTPOS, cash, Cabcharge and MPTP are all accepted, and a tax receipt is issued on request.
Booking a premium car
Use the fare calculator to get a fixed price, then note 'premium' in the booking notes, or call 0421 807 027 and tell dispatch. For recurring executive travel we can hold a standing booking so the same details do not need to be re-entered each time.
Premium availability is best with a few hours' notice. Same-hour requests are still filled where a suitable car is nearby.
