Where to meet your cab at Chadstone
The taxi rank sits near the Dandenong Road entrance close to the bus interchange, which is also the easiest point to describe to a driver. The Chadstone Place and Middle Road entrances work well for pre-booked pickups when the main entrance is busy.
On weekends, at Christmas and during Boxing Day sales, the internal ring road backs up badly. If you are pre-booking, choose an entrance on the Warrigal Road or Middle Road side and you will be moving while the main entry queue is still stationary.
Common trips
Chadstone sits in Malvern East, roughly 30 minutes from the CBD off-peak and 45 or more in peak. Nearby suburbs — Malvern, Ashburton, Oakleigh, Carnegie, Hughesdale, Murrumbeena, Glen Iris and Mount Waverley — are all short 5–15 minute runs.
Melbourne Airport is about 40–50 minutes via CityLink depending on traffic. Take the fixed price for that one; the Monash and CityLink combination is unpredictable at almost any hour.
Shopping, luggage and accessibility
We run standard sedans with full-size boots, which handles a normal shop comfortably. If you have bought something large, tell us at booking so we can confirm it fits before the car is dispatched.
Wheelchair accessible vehicles, baby capsules and booster seats are available when requested at the time of booking. MPTP cards are accepted.
Peak shopping periods
Boxing Day, the week before Christmas, Black Friday and the mid-year sales are the busiest days of the year here. Pre-book both legs on those dates — the rank queue can run long and the surrounding roads are gridlocked.
Victorian taxi tariffs are published fixed rates, so a chaotic Boxing Day afternoon is priced the same way as a quiet Wednesday. Use the fare calculator for a metered estimate and a fixed price on your exact trip.
